Privacy notice

club club is a small test project that helps adults near Toledo, Ohio find activities they share with other people nearby. This page says what it keeps about you and who can see it, in plain words.

What we keep

• Your email address, used to sign you in and nothing else.
• That you confirmed you are 18 or older, and when.
• Your four screening answers, every either-or pick you make, your top 5, and your follow-up answers for each (would you really do it, activity or company, smallest and largest group).
• Your settings: travel range, usual free times, willingness to lead, who may see your details, and any activity you offered to lead.
• Your private block list: email addresses of people you do not want in a group with you.

Who can see it

• Other members see counts only. A count looks like “7 people near you picked knitting.” It never shows names, emails, or who picked what.
• Nobody is named to anyone else until you opt in to a specific group and an administrator approves that group. Groups are not switched on yet.
• Administrators can see everything in the system, including emails, picks, settings and block lists, so they can run the site and handle safety problems. Right now there is one administrator, the site owner. Administrator actions are written to a log. Your block list is never shown to the people on it.

Who else handles your data

• Supabase stores the accounts and database and sends the sign-in emails. Its servers are in the United States.
• Netlify serves the website.
• Your browser loads fonts from Google and one script from the jsDelivr network when the page opens, so those services see your internet address, like any website that uses them.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools. Staying signed in uses your browser's own storage, not advertising cookies.

Your choices

• You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time in Settings, Delete my account and data. Copies in routine backups, if any exist, can linger for a short time.
• If someone else put your email address on their private block list, that entry stays on their list, because it only protects them.
• To ask for a copy of your data, or about anything on this page, write to jake@hrpsa.org.

Age

club club is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly keep information about anyone under 18. If you think a child is using the site, write to us and we will remove the account.

This is a test version and this notice may change as the site grows. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
